Wife submit to your husband, Husband love your Wife!

This is clearly defined in Ephesians 5:21-32

This is not about women being inferior to men or men have a superior right over women. It is the intention of God when he created man and woman for each other. Each was created for a role to play in the natural order.

²¹ Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Commentary: Before spelling out the roles, it clearly says in verse 21 that both husband and wife are to submit to one another. If not out of love for each other, out of reverence for Christ.

Intructions to Wives:

²² Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. ²³ For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. ²⁴ Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Commentary: Husbands are the head of the wife so the wife should submit to him in everything. This is clear but there is also a clear assumption that the husband must suitably and honourably lead.

Instruction to Husbands:

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her ²⁶ to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, ²⁷ and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. ²⁸ In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. ²⁹ After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— ³⁰ for we are members of his body. ³¹ “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” ³² This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.

Commentary: With the responsibility to be head of the wife, there is sacrifice encompassed in the clear instruction for husbands to love their wives. For all those husbands thinking of using verses 22-24 on your wives, think first! Christ gave himself up to make his bride the church holy, husbands must love their wives as they love themselves, caring and feeding, becoming one flesh united. In simple words, the wife is part of the husband's body like his own arm or leg. A husband cannot treat his wife as some other person, to abuse or to neglect or to exclude. It is in this sense that being one flesh together, the wife submits to the husband in everything. 

To use an analogy, you can't have two minds in one body. If husband and wife are one flesh and both lead, one wants to go left and the other wants to go right, there is only internal conflict and zero progress. Therefore only one can be the head, God has chosen the husband to lead. 

Similarly in the Church, it is Christ who leads. It is not for the Church (or the Pope) to decide where to go as the bride.
