In this modern and secular world, 'fashion' is the excuse for more and more people getting themselves a tattoo or simply a 'souvenir' of a place visited or an 'affectionate symbol' to tattoo the name of one's loved one or pet on the ankle or some part of the body.
Many justifications, reasons and logical explanations are given to 'get a tattoo'. Well here's the news, as Christians we are simply not allowed to do so.
Leviticus 19:28
"'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD." (NIV)
Who says so? It is quite clear from the bible, GOD said so.
So if you are thinking about it? Just forget it and remind yourself that when you entered the world at birth, here was no tattoo or marks on our body. We were perfect in God's eyes, clean and beautiful. When we return to heaven, we should also return in the same condition, fair wear and tear excepted.
